Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On or about July 11, 2024, employees working at heights exceeding six feet were not trained to recognize and minimize fall hazards, exposing the employees to a 9 foot fall. R.A.C. Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.502(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1737787, citation 1, item 3, and was affirmed final order on July 24, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 114 S. Dwyer Avenue Arlington Heights, IL 60005 Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
