Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(d)(3): All energy isolating devices that were needed to control the energy to the machine or equipment were not physically located and operated in such a manner as to isolate the machine or equipment from the energy source(s): On or about May 23, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that the N5 milk carton machine line was locked and tagged out to isolate the electrical and pneumatic energy sources of the machine prior to employees clearing jams on the machines. The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection#1612947, citation 1, item 3, which was affirmed as final order on 1/3/2023, with respect to the workplace located at 1000 6th Street SW, Winter Haven , FL 33880.
