Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. At the jobsite, where employees performing roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards up to approximately 18 feet and did not demonstrate hazard recognition and avoidance to fall hazards at heights over 6 feet to the ground below. Jesus Vega Acosta was previously cited for repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.503(a)(1). which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1736834, Citation number 3, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on April 19, 2024, with a final abatement date on April 2, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1213 Fieldstone Drive, Midlothian, TX 76065
