Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): Training. The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE. Each such employee shall be trained to know at least the following: 1910.132(f)(1)(i): When PPE is necessary; 1910.132(f)(1)(ii): What PPE is necessary; 1910.132(f)(1)(iii): How to properly don, doff, adjust, and wear PPE; 1910.132(f)(1)(iv): The limitations of the PPE; and, 1910.132(f)(1)(v): The proper care, maintenance, useful life and disposal of the PPE. (a) On or about April 29, 2024, the employer had not provided training on 132(f)(1)(i) through (v) of this section for employees who were exposed to workplace hazards such as but not limited to chemical compounds containing styrene (acute lung damage, nervous system, irritation of eye, nose, throat, skin), methyl methacrylate (irritation of eye, nose, throat, skin), acetone (irritation of eye, nose, throat, skin) , and 2-butanone (organ toxicity, irritation of eye, nose, throat, skin.)
