29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Installation and use. Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling. On or about April 24, 2024, the employer did not ensure that extension cords were used in accordance with the instructions included in the listing or labeling, exposing employees to electrical shock hazards. The following instances were observed: (a) Line 5 near Station 28 a power strip was observed plugged into a single receptacle, unsupported, supplying power to a controller labeled 7A12 for PART B and NIR15. (b) ADL 7 near Station 6 a power strip was observed plugged into a single receptacle, unsupported, with a cord plugged in. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
