29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Roof: On or about April 18, 2024, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of more than twenty (20) feet from the lower surface, without any effective fall protection, while performing roofing work on a steep slope residential building. The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1655353, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 2, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1211 Harriet Street, Dickson City, PA 18519. The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1626532, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 8, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1026 Delaware Street, Scranton, PA 18509. The employer was previously cited for a violation of its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(11)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1594690, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 14, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 851 Commerce Blvd, Dickson City, PA 18519. Abatement certification and documentation are required.
