29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: a) 147 Quigley Blvd, New Castle, DE 19720 (Battery charging room): On or about April 15, 2024, employees were not able to access or open an exit route door from the inside as a twist-turn operated dead bolt lock was attached to the door. These locks expose employees to fire hazards. The United States Postal Service dba USPS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1635931, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/9/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 401 Ogletown Road Newark, DE 19711.
