29 CFR 1926.1207(a): The employer did not provide training to each employee whose work is regulated by this standard, at no cost to the employee, and did not ensure that the employee possessed the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of duties assigned under this standard: On or about January 1, 2024, and times prior thereto, the employer did not train employees on confine spaces to ensure the employees had the skills and knowledge to perform work inside a confine space (crawl space) prior to allowing the employees entering and performing work in the excavation exposing employees to hazardous condition related to asphyxiation and trench collapse.
