29 CFR 1910.213(i)(1): Nonworking portion(s) of the blade of the band saw were not enclosed or guarded. On February 20, 2024, main production building at Compressed Air Station #1: The Hydmech S-23P band saw blade guard was not adjusted to the size of the material being cut. Employees were exposed to cut and laceration hazards. Pacific Shipyards International was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1487208, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 27, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at Pier 24.
