29 CFR 1910.29(f)(2): Finger clearance. The employer did not ensure that the minimum clearance between handrails and any other object is 2.25 inches (5.7 cm). Forward end of LCAC 90, access to the LCAC: On and/or before January 25, 2024, employee(s) were accessing the stairs to conduct work on the main deck of the LCAC. The left-hand top rail and mid rail did not provide the minimum clearance for the full length of the rail(s) which did not allow employee(s) to fully grip the railing. Employees were potentially exposed to trip/miss-step and fall hazard(s).
