Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns. Jobsite: On or about December 12, 2023, the employer did not ensure that an employee on a ladder handing a board up to roofers installing asphalt shingles approximately 21 feet, 8 inches from ground level was protected from falling objects by the use of a hard hat. Realize Services, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection #1568388, citation # 1, item #1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 12, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 332 Summit Street, Manchester, CT.
