29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that employees who were replacing asphalt shingles on a steep-pitch commercial roof at a height of approximately 16 feet, 6 inches were protected from fall hazards by the use of fall protection systems.
