29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Jobsite: 1. Bldg. A: Employees, walking working on the tops of the 2nd floor ceiling joists, were not protected from falls to lower levels. 2. Bldg. B: Employees, walking working on the tops of the 2nd floor ceiling joists, were not protected from falls to lower levels. 3. Bldgs. A & B, 2nd floor: Employees, walking/working near the unguarded window openings, were not protected from falls to lower levels. 4. Bldgs. A & B, exterior: Employees, walking/working at the rear of the homes, were not protected from falling 9-ft into the unguarded basement stairwell openings. 5. Bldg. B, 2nd floor balconies: Employees, walking working on the second-floor balconies, were not protected from falling over 12-ft to grade or into the basement opening. 6. Bldg. B, Rear unit, 1st floor: Employees, walking/working on the left side of the floor opening to the basement, were not protected from falls of 10-ft to the concrete basement floor. 7. Bldg. A, front unit, 1st floor: Employees, walking/working on the 1st floor stair landing, were not protected from falls of over 15-ft to the concrete basement floor. 8. Bldg. A, rear unit, 1st floor: Employees, walking/working on the unsecured floor hole cover, over the floor opening to the basement, were not protected from falls of 10-ft to the basement floor. 9. Bldg. A, rear unit, 1st floor: Employees, walking/working on/around the unsecured floor hole cover, over the floor opening to the basement, were not protected from unguarded openings. RS Framing Experts, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1645685, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 6, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 15 Buff Cir. Newton, MA 02459.
