29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: (a) In Manufacturing Warehouse 1 - On or about September 27, 2023, the employer exposed employees to crushing, struck-by, caught-in and between hazards in that, the employer did not establish an energy control program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, start up or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment would be isolated and rendered inoperable. (b) In Production Warehouse 2 - On or about February 13, 2023, the employer exposed employees to crushing, struck-by, caught-in and between hazards in that, the employer did not establish an energy control program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, start up or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment would be isolated and rendered inoperable. The PCP Group, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1654081, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/25/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 4081 Ulmerton Rd. Clearwater, FL 33762.
