29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a) 17 Baron Dr Lancaster, PA 17603, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards to the eyes while performing roofing work, as the employees were operating a pneumatic air nailer without eye protection, on or about August 28, 2023. The Blue Contractor Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1651966, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 9, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at Building #2, 161 Summit Avenue, Montvale, NJ. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
