29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Employees performing roofing work at elevations of six feet or more above the ground are not being protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system: The employer fails to assure effective protection against fall as required by the standard, as demonstrated on August 9, 2023, when three employees performing roofing work on a 3:12 pitch roof of a house located at 6467 Heidi Road, in Jacksonville, Florida, were exposed to the hazard of a 10.3 foot fall to the ground in that they did not use a guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system or any alternative fall protection system.
