29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: On or about August 2, 2023, during the installation of roofing material at a job site located at 6310 Elmarge DR, Independence Ohio 44131; during the installation of roofing material on a residential roof, the employer did not ensure portable ladders extend 3 feet above the upper landing surface. Tennis Hatfield DBA D-N-E HOME IMPROVEMENT LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.1053(B)(1) ladders), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1467425, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on (4/1/2020), with respect to a workplace located at 5885 Mural Dr, Seven Hills Ohio 44131.
