29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. On the Balcony roofs of housing units 14021-14025 on Saddlehill Court in Jacksonville, Florida: On or about July 27, 2023, the employer exposed four subcontracted employees to fall hazards, ranging from 9.75-foot to 11.75-foot, in that fall protection was not utilized by subcontracted employees, while preforming roofing work. b. On 6:12 pitched roofs on the housing units at 14035-14039 on Saddlehill Court in Jacksonville, Florida: On or about July 27, 2023, the employer exposed subcontracted employees to 16-foot fall hazards, in that fall protection was not utilized by employees while performing roofing work. Fidus Roofing and Construction, LLC, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR-1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1443283, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/11/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 617 Millers Dam Court, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 32082.
