29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4): Safeguard(s) designed to protect employees during an emergency (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire doors, exit lighting), were not in proper working order at all times. Facilities Shop, Employee Breakroom, Bldg. 1123: On and/or before July 25, 2023, a ceiling panel in the employee breakroom was missing. This condition would delay the activation of the sprinkler system(s) preventing a proper fire/smoke barrier and restricting the movement of smoke in accordance with NFPA 101 8.5.1. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to fire and smoke inhalation hazard(s).
