29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Employees performing roofing work at elevations of six feet or more above the ground are not being protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system: The employer fails to assure effective protection against fall as required by the standard, as demonstrated on July 24, 2023, when six employees performing roofing work on a 8:12 and 5:12 roof pitch of a house located at 736 Spring Haven Drive, in Saint Johns, Florida, were exposed to the fall hazards, in that employees did not use any fall protection system.
