29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer: a) Cathode and Anode Mixing Room/ Electrode Department - On or about 6/30/2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory hazards in that, employees were permitted to use N95 respirators voluntary without reviewing information contained in appendix D of respiratory protection program while working at the Cathode and Anode Mixing Room. b) Cathode and Anode Slurry Mixing Room/ Electrode Department- On or about 6/30/2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to respiratory hazards in that, employees were permitted to use N95 respirators voluntary without reviewing information contained in appendix D of respiratory protection program while working at the Cathode and Anode Slurry Mixing Room.
