29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2): Employees were not protected from excavated or other materials or equipment that could pose a hazard by falling or rolling into excavations. Protection was not provided by placing and keeping such materials or equipment at least 2 feet (.61 m) from the edge of excavations, or by the use of retaining devices that are sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary: a) Employees are exposed to excavated material that is not placed at least two (2) feet back from the edges of an excavation. This was most recently observed at the Trail Creek Ridge jobsite in Pocatello, Idaho on May 9, 2023. Note) A+ Contractors, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1407356, Citation 1 Item 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 14, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Snow Crest and Harley, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
