29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) Powder Lab: Ribbon Blender did not have the point of operation guarded to prevent employee exposure to an amputation/laceration hazard from the unguarded ram. On 3/27/23, an employee sustained an right hand injury while cleaning out the ribbon blender at the unguarded point of operation. b) Powder Lab: Ribbon Blender: Ribbon blender did not have the point of operation guarded to prevent employees exposure to an amputation/laceration hazard from the unguarded ram on or about 4/3/23.
