29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): Means of egress from trench excavations. A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress shall be located in trench excavations that are 4 feet (1.22 m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62 m) of lateral travel for employees: (a) Trench operation located at the corner of Lee Rd and East County Rd, Lithia Springs GA. 30122. On about March 28, 2023, and times prior, the employer exposed employees to cave-in/entrapment hazards in that there was no safe means of egress located in the trench while employees worked in the trench that measured an estimated 65ft long by 18ft wide by 20 - 22ft deep.
