29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a) At 66 Saussy Road, Port Wentworth, GA 31407: on or about November 21, 2022, and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to struck by hazards in that the use of eye protection was not enforced. Mejia Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1340014, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 6, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 154 Ristona Dr, Lot 291, Savannah, GA 31419.
