29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Facility: On or about 11/16/2022, employees were not trained on the hazards associated with the chemicals with which they worked including but not limited to, TCI Powder Coating, Surcoat 80 (a corrosive), Metal Fumes from welding, Argon for TIG welding, Compressed N.O.S. for MIG welding, and Duall Lacquer Thinner. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19. UNITED HOSPITAL SUPPLY CORPORATION WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, ITS EQUIVALENT, OR ESSENTIALLY SIMILAR STANDARD, 1910.1200(h)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1069432 CITATION NUMBER 2, ITEM NUMBER 5, ISSUED ON 11/18/2015.
