29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): An inspection of the excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems was not conducted by the competent person prior to the start of work and as needed throughout the shift: a) 1311 Buckley Road, North Syracuse, NY 13212: On or about August 30, 2022, employer failed to ensure a competent person made a daily inspection of an excavation, where a hazardous situation was present. D.E. Tarolli, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR 1926.651(k)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1399301, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on (June 25, 2019), with respect to a workplace located at 5221 Taft Road, Syracuse, NY 13212.
