29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): Portable fire extinguishers were not subjected to an annual maintenance check: Dolgencorp LLC. dba Dollar General located at 2815A Ridge Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19121: (a) On or about August 2, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the ABC (Dry Chem) fire extinguisher mounted next to the restrooms was subjected to an annual maintenance check. The extinguisher tag indicated it was inspected in April 2021. (b) On or about August 2, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the ABC (Dry Chem) fire extinguisher mounted next to the electrical panel in the stock room was subjected to an annual maintenance check. The extinguisher tag indicated it was inspected in April 2021. (c) On or about August 2, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the ABC (Dry Chem) fire extinguisher mounted next to the emergency exit in the back of the store was subjected to an annual maintenance check. The extinguisher tag indicated it was inspected in April 2021. Note: Applies to any extinguishers provided in the workplace. Maintenance check includes an internal examination, except extinguishers with stored pressure. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1522853, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 22,2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1060 E Tuss Street Eagle River, WI 54521.
