29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or 1926.652(c): a) On June 30, 2022, employees working in an excavation up to approximately 7 feet in depth were exposed to cave-in hazards. A. Lamp Concrete Contractors was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1541515, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed final order on January 18, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 310 Walker Ave, Highland Park, IL 60035. A. Lamp Concrete Contractors was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1316534, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed final order on September 6, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at Il Rte 171 and Strieby Dr, Melrose Park, IL 60160.
