29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2): The employer did not ensure that hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces are corrected or repaired before an employee uses the walking-working surface again. The employer did not ensure that if the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard is guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard is corrected or repaired. a) At Building 2 Process, between System D Charting and Clean-in-Place (CIP) tanks, on or about 6/23/2022: Damaged terracotta floors exposed workers to trip and fall hazards. b) At Building 2 Process, E System, on or about 6/23/2022: Clean-in-place (CIP) line leaks over the work area, exposing workers to chemical burns. c) At Building 2 Process, B System, on or about 6/23/2022: Surge tank line steam leaks onto the walking-working path, exposing workers to burns. HP HOOD LLC, WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2), WHICH WAS CONTAINED INS OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1565331, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 5/11/2022, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 19 WARD STREET, VERNON, NY 13476.
