Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent fire hazards as demonstrated on or about April 28, 2022, on the sales floor, where a portable fire extinguisher was blocked. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that portable fire extinguishers are not blocked. Dolgencorp, LLC was previously cited for a repeat-other than serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1263006, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/16/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 19055 US Highway 31, Vinemont, AL.
