29 CFR 1910.95(g)(6): At least annually after obtaining the baseline audiogram, the employer shall obtain a new audiogram for each employee exposed at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels: At the facility located at 1602 N 8th Street, Manitowoc, WI 54220, the employer did not obtain, at least annually, new audiograms for each employee when: a) On or about August 16, 2022, an employee at East Knockout was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) sound level of 95.5 decibels measured on the A scale (dBA), or equivalently, a noise dose of 216.4%. This exceeds an 8-hour TWA of 85 dBA, or equivalently, a noise dose of 50%. The sampling was performed for 431 minutes with zero exposure assumed for the unsampled period of 49 minutes. b) On or about August 16, 2022, a Welder employee was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) sound level of 90.1 decibels measured on the A scale (dBA), or equivalently, a noise dose of 101.8%. This exceeds an 8-hour TWA of 85 dBA, or equivalently, a noise dose of 50%. The sampling was performed for 403 minutes with zero exposure assumed for the unsampled period of 77 minutes.
