29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). a) Location - 21-25 Hancock Street, Newburyport, MA On or about 02/24/22, employees were not adequately protected against falls of 6 feet or greater above a lower level in the following instances. Instance a: Employees placing soffits from a forklift elevated platform were unprotected against fall hazards. Instance b: Employees working on a second floor were exposed to fall hazards from open and unguarded window openings. Instance c: Employee working on the first floor were exposed to fall hazards from open and unguarded floor hole to the basement. Instance d: Employees setting roof rafter were exposed to fall hazards from an unguarded leading edge. E&G Builders, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1359084, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/12/19, with respect to a workplace located at 65 Sedgwick Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
