Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp were not provided where the exit route is not substantially level. At 6432 Prescott, Saint Louis, MO 63147 On or about March 9, 2022, Employees of Fairfield Processing Corporation were exposed to possible fire hazards due to a conveyer system which is elevated 20 inches above the floor level at the rear of the building and has limited access and egress points which restricted traffic to the exits at the rear of the building. Additionally doors were observed to be obstructed by equipment at different times during the inspection process.
