29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level. a) Warehouse: On or about 03/10/2022, a marked exit door on the south wall across from Racks 15 and 16 was blocked with pallets of product, boxes, and equipment preventing emergency egress. b) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, a marked exit door on the south wall in front of Rack 13 was blocked with pallets of product, boxes, and equipment preventing emergency egress. c) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, a marked exit door on the south wall in front of Rack 5 was blocked with boxes preventing emergency egress. d) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, a marked exit door on the south wall across from Rack 30 was blocked with boxes and product preventing emergency egress. e) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, a marked exit door on the north wall in front of Rack 2 was blocked by filter boxes preventing emergency egress. f) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, a marked exit door on the north wall in front of Rack 11 was blocked by pallets of product and boxes preventing emergency egress. g) Warehouse: On or about 6/29/2022, a marked exit door on the south wall across from Racks 15 and 16 was blocked with boxes, trash, and equipment preventing emergency egress. h) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 31 and 32 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. i) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 33 and 34 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. j) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 1 and the wall was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. k) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 1 and 2 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. l) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 3 and 4 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. m) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 5 and 6 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. n) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 7 and 8 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. o) Warehouse: On or about 3/10/2022, an aisleway between rack 11 and 12 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. p) Warehouse: On or about 6/29/2022, the end of Aisle 15 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. q) Warehouse: On or about 6/29/2022, the end of Aisle 16 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. r) Warehouse: On or about 6/29/2022, the end of Aisle 17 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. s) Warehouse: On or about 6/29/2022, the aisleway in front of 15, 16, and 17 heading toward Rack 13 was blocked with boxes, pallets, and product preventing emergency egress. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
