29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles: (a) Parade Street Mechanicsburg, PA - Employees were using pneumatic nail guns to frame and install plywood on a new residential home at the back roof of the home without utilizing any means of impact resistant eye protection, on or about February 23, 2022. (b) Parade Street Mechanicsburg, PA - Employees were using pneumatic nail guns to frame and install plywood on a new residential home at the front of the home roof above the living room without utilizing any means of impact resistant eye protection, on or about February 23, 2022. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
