29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical (a) On or about January 21, 2022 and at times prior, the employer, Southwest Motors of Denver, LLC., did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled tagged or marked with the information required by the hazard communication standard exposing employees to contact with chemical hazards. Numerous secondary containers were used to store 3 year, 5 year, 10 year coolant, and an "Autozone" bottle with a purple degreasing agent, which is a corrosive chemical, did not have product identifiers or hazard statements on them to alert of hazards associated with each chemical. (b) On or about January 21, 2022 and at times prior, the employer, Southwest Motors of Denver, LLC., did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled tagged or marked with the information required by the hazard communication standard exposing employees to contact with chemical hazards. Plastic bottles were used to store gasoline, which is highly flammable, did not have product identifiers or hazard statements on them to alert of hazards associated with each chemical. Southwest Motors of Denver, LLC dba: AutoNation CDJR was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1447387, citation number 01, item number 01, and was affirmed as a final order on 1/28/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 7980 W. Tufts Ave, Littleton, CO 80123 . Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
