29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) Planer Mill Area (In-Feed Area): On or about January 11, 2022, and at times prior, the employer failed to ensure employees utilized the hazardous energy control procedure when employees were engaged in servicing and maintenance activities, including but not limited to clearing lumber jams in and around the pressure and pineapple rolls at the infeed conveyor system; exposing employees to caught-in and struck-by hazards. The Rex Lumber, Graceville LLC DBA (Doing Business As) Rex Lumber was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1514664, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 29, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 5299 Alabama Street Graceville, FL 32440.
