29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): a. On or about January 7, 2022, the employer failed to ensure that an employee operating a powered industrial vehicle was adequately trained as demonstrated by the successful completion of a training and evaluation program. Industrial Cork Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1375361, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 848 Larch Ave. in Elmhurst, Illinois.
