29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1):Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed: Employees engaged in casing mail at the United States Postal Office located at 420 East Avenue, Holdrege, Nebraska were exposed to electrical shock hazards in that the employees were not instructed in the recognition of the hazards associated with working around live electrical circuits or exposed conductors and the methods to mitigate those hazards. The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.305(b)(1) contained in OSHA inspection number 1402018, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on November 8, 2019 with respect to a workplace located at 119 Center Street East, Madison, South Dakota.
