29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. The employer does not protect each employee engaged in roofing work by requiring the employee to wear eye and face protection while operating pneumatic roofing nail guns. a) This most recently occurred on October 28, 2021, at 1218 Mohican Trail in Waukesha, Wisconsin 53189. Employees are exposed to eye injury while operating pneumatic roofing nail guns without eye protection during roofing work. Joshua Herion dba ECS Roofing Professionals, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1476805, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 15, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Barrington Road in Schaumburg, Illinois 60194.
