29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) On or about October 20, 2021, employees engaged in re-roofing an existing residential property with a 5:12 pitched roof, were not protected from falling to the lower level. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately eight (8) feet on the residential property. (b) On or about October 20, 2021, employees engaged in re-roofing an existing detached garage on a residential property with a 5:12 pitched roof, were not protected from falling to the lower level. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately seven (7) feet on the detached garage. The James R. Taylor and Sons, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1539628, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 21, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at W299 N3396 Maple Ave., In Pewaukee, WI .
