29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. On or before October 8, 2021, the employer did not ensure that an employee who was required to clean the Line 2 Pizza Topping machine had been properly trained on the process of deenergizing and applying energy control devices to the equipment. General Mills was previously cited for a Serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1311546, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on June 12, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Red Devil Rd, Hannibal, MO 63401.
