29 CFR 1910.132(a):Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: On or about April 13, 2021, the employer did not ensure that chemical resistant boots were utilized by employees entering the Stage One spray enclosure. Employees are exposed to chemicals including, but not limited to Ultrax32 Alkaline Cleaner. Springco Metal Coating, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1183425, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on January 3, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 12500 Elmwood Avenue, Cleveland, OH, 44111. Springco Metal Coating, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1323882, citation number 1, item number 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on July 17, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 12500 Elmwood Avenue, Cleveland, OH, 44111.
