29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(i)(A):Temporary electrical power and lighting installations of 600 volts, nominal, or less may be used only during and for remodeling, maintenance, or repair of buildings, structures, or equipment, and similar activities. a. 24-36 Fadem Road, Springfield, NJ - Shipping Area The employer did not ensure that temporary power (extension cords) used for computer equipment, was removed and permanent power installed after remodeling. Employees engaged in the shipping of window products installed an extension cord that was strung along the roof trusses to an adjacent rack to power computer equipment in the shipping department during a construction project and did not removed the temporary power with a permanent power source. Violation observed on or about July 23, 2021
