29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2):The employer did not report within 24-hours a work-related incident resulting in in-patient hospitalization, amputation or the loss of an eye: a. On or about July 16, 2020, at the service department, an employee working on a raised vehicle transmission held on a transmission lift, was injured when the transmission shifted to the side and the employee attempted to push it aside. The employee received a partial amputation of the left ring finger from a sharp section of the transmission he tried to hold. The employer was aware of the amputation on the evening of July 16, 2020 and did not report to OSHA the work related incident.
