29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprockets and chains. All sprocket wheels and chains were not enclosed that were less than seven (7) feet above the floor or platform. On or about 9/15/2020, employees from Universal Packaging Corporation were operating two Paco labeling machines, serial #s 911-1 and 964-4, on the manufacturing line. The machines had partially unguarded chains and sprockets, which were less than seven feet above the floor. Universal Packaging Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.219(f)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1485323, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/08/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 3645 Tree Court Industrial Boulevard, Kirkwood, MO.
