29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: a) Warehouse Area (Northwest Back Exit Route): On or about August 28, 2020, and times prior, the employer failed to keep free and unobstructed exit routes from permanently placed pallets, materials and equipment blocking the path to the exit door; exposing employees to hazards such as but not limited to trip/slip and fall hazards during emergency evacuations. b) Warehouse Area (Southwest Back Exit Route): On or about August 28, 2020, and times prior, the employer failed to keep free and unobstructed exit routes from permanently placed pallets, materials and equipment blocking the path to the exit door; exposing employees to hazards such as but not limited to trip/slip and fall hazards during emergency evacuations. The Express Courier International, Inc. DBA (Doing Business As) LSO Final Mile was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1232504, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/01/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 240 Oxmoor Court, Suite 244, Birmingham, AL 35209.
