Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section. (a) Synthetic Fiber Production Facility, Interior: On or about 8/10/2020, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the employer did not develop and document specific lock out and tag out procedures for the extruder on line one when employees have to clear wraps which cause jams on the rollers. The Euclid Chemical Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(c)(4)(I), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1424434, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/3/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 3361 N. Hwy 27 Lafayette, GA. 30728 .
