29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1)(ii): The platform was not planked or decked as fully as possible and the remaining open space between the platform and the uprights exceeded 9.5 inches (24.1 cm): location: scaffold above North staging area, 240 E. 172 St. Bronx NY on or about: 3/5/20 a) An employee was standing on a tubular welded scaffold frame, while securing down debris netting. There were no planks on this scaffold level. The employee was exposed to a fall of 88 feet. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19. The Universal Construction Resources Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1090439, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/7/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 161 Continental Place, Building 19, Statan Island, NY, 10303.
